How Singular selects its roasters

Our job: finding the best specialty coffee roasters in Europe and beyond. Here is how we choose them, in five steps.

1. Out in the field, not behind screens

We spend our time in coffee shops and at trade fairs, talking with baristas, buyers and importers. These dozens of conversations every month point us to the rising roasters and the exceptional lots.

2. Access to the best lots

A great roaster is first of all access to the best green coffees. Each of our partners works directly with producers or trusted importers: full traceability, fair pay, quality in the cup.

3. We taste everything

No coffee joins the catalogue without rigorous tasting: several times, with several brewing methods. If a coffee does not convince us, it does not get in.

4. Expert opinion

Barista champions, competition judges, importers: we listen to those who know the industry better than we do, and we challenge our own choices.

5. Your feedback

The selection stays alive: if a coffee disappoints you, it goes. And your roaster suggestions have already led us to some wonderful roasteries.
