Not sure which coffee to choose?
Frequently asked questions
How are the coffees on Singular Coffee selected?
We do not roast ourselves: we select the best coffees from craft roasters around the world. Every coffee in our store is scored 80+ on the SCA scale and has been tasted and approved by our team before going on sale.
Are your coffees available as whole bean and ground?
All the coffees in our store are offered whole bean or ground. The choice is yours when you buy, the option is always offered.
What is the difference between an espresso coffee and a filter coffee?
A coffee roasted for espresso generally has a more developed profile, with more body and roundness. A filter coffee is roasted more lightly to reveal the aromatic complexity and acidity of the bean. Some coffees suit both methods. You can filter by brewing method at the top of this page.
How often do you refresh your selection?
Our catalogue changes regularly. We feature at least one new roaster a week, and the available coffees change with the harvests and the lots available. To make sure you miss nothing, sign up for our newsletter: https://singular.coffee/en/pages/newsletter
Which coffee should I choose if I am new to specialty coffee?
Start with a coffee with indulgent notes (chocolate, hazelnut, caramel), which offers a gentle transition from classic coffee. Our coffee quiz can also guide you to the coffees that suit you.
If I choose ground coffee, when is it ground and by whom?
We grind your coffee on the day of shipping, just before it leaves, to preserve as much freshness and aroma as possible. The grind is adjusted to the brewing method you indicated with your order.
